The All-Russian Schoolchildren Contest in Russian has ended in Moscow

At the Russian University of Peoples' Friendship, on April 6, a solemn closing ceremony of the All-Russian Schoolchildren in Russian language was held.

The motto of these competitions was the slogan: “The Russian language is the language that unites the world.”

236 of the best native language experts from 65 regions of Russia took part in the competition.

The awards ceremony for the winners of the Olympiad began with the congratulations of the participants of the Olympiad in the 9th grade category. 24 schoolchildren became winners. Deputy Chairman of the Jury, Head of the Department of General and Russian Linguistics of the RUDN University Vladimir Denisenko and Member of the Jury, Dean of the Faculty of Philology of the State Institute of the Russian Language. A.S. Pushkin Solomonova Anastasia Alexandrovna welcomed ninth-graders and presented them with diplomas.

In the category of "10 class" winners were 24 people. The award was given by the senior lecturer, research associate of the School of Linguistics at the Higher School of Economics, Vlahov Andrian Viktorovich, and a member of the jury, a teacher of the highest category of Russian language and literature, Lyceum No. 10, Khimki Osipova, Irina Viktorovna. The children were awarded diplomas and wished them not to stop at what they have achieved and to remember that the main victory in life is a victory over themselves.

40 eleventh-graders won prizes of the Olympiad. The winners were congratulated by Viktor Vladimirovich Barabash, dean of the Faculty of Philology of the Peoples' Friendship University, and Irina Nurgainovna Dobrotina, jury member, head of the Center for Philological Education at the Institute of Education Strategy of the Russian Academy of Education.

4 winners of the Olympiad of schoolchildren in the Russian language in the category “9th grade” and 6 winners in the category “10th grade” were awarded to Vasilyeva Tatyana Viktorovna, deputy head of the Moscow Department of Education and Science. In her address to the winners, she said that knowledge of the Russian language for children is their ticket to life. Vyacheslav Petrovich Khodus, member of the jury, head of the Russian language department of the North-Caucasian Federal University, continued the welcoming speech. He wished the children to discover Russian not only for themselves, but for the whole world.

Vladimir Mikhailovich Filippov, the rector of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, and the olympiad jury chairman, professor of general linguistics at Moscow State Pedagogical University Andrei Vladimirovich Grigoriev awarded participants in the category “11 class” in which 8 connoisseurs of the Russian language won. Vladimir Mikhailovich noted that all the finalists of the competitions proved the right to be called leaders, wished them to continue to participate in various competitions, choose the best universities of the country for admission and continue their education. Andrei Vladimirovich also congratulated the guys and, as the chairman of the jury, thanked all the organizers of the All-Russian School Olympiad for their professionalism and high level of competition preparation. In response, the winners also thanked the jury and the organizing committee of the Olympiad and wished success to the other participants.

The award ceremony ended with applause for the organizers of the Olympiad and the jury members. Performances of creative international teams became the decoration of the event.
