Immersion in an authentic language environment
On August 4, at the Faculty of the Russian Language and General Educational Disciplines, several Summer Schools were completed: «Intensive Russian Language Course at RUDN-university: I speak Russian to the whole world!», «TORFL -1 RUDN» and «Secrets of the translation into Russian».
The participants of the Summer Schools were 43 people from Italy, France, Spain, Lebanon, Turkey and Vietnam with different levels of proficiency in Russian: from zero to the level of competent proficiency. Summer School students for 2 weeks plunged into the authentic language environment for effective acquisition of new skills and competencies.
The objectives of the training program «Intensive Russian Language Course at RUDN-university: I speak Russian to the whole world! » included familiarizing participants with the basics of the phonetic structure, grammatical structure and oral speech skills. Students developed basic language skills such as reading, speaking and listening.
Listeners of the Summer School "The Secrets of Translation into Russian" had the opportunity to form the necessary theoretical basis for successfully overcoming difficulties encountered in translation practice, develop skills to build their own translation strategy, and make informed translation decisions.
In the framework of the Summer School «TORFL -1 RUDN» RUDN UNIVERSITY" its participants had preliminary training for the linguistic didactic exam in Russian of the first certification level and successfully passed the exam.
In addition to the curriculum of the Summer School participants, a rich excursion program was proposed : a visit to the Red Square, Sergiev Posad, the Izmailovo Kremlin, the Tretyakov Gallery and many other sights of the capital.
An individual approach to each participant, high standards of education and a rich excursion program made the stay of Summer School participants not only useful and effective, but also unforgettable.Summer schools were held from July 22 to August 4.
